CBD for Storm & Firework Anxiety in Pets

In the Midwest we’re getting hit with large amount of loud storms and summer fireworks are just around the corner. We might love to watch the storms and fireworks but our furry four legged family members might be terrified.

If you’ve tried the standard radio or tv, shutting the blinds, and anxiety shirts but nothing seems to be helping fido you may want to consider CBD. Not only can CBD help with pain and inflammation from arthritis or injury it’s showing to help with anxiety.

CBD is fast acting with nearly zero side effects working quickly in the endocannabinoid system to lower stress levels. Give 20-30 minutes prior to anxiety event to help them stay calm. Dosage depends on weight and strength of the product. Start with a low dose and and increase your dose till you see a desired effect. Extremely large doses rarely have adverse effects and you will often only see a very sleepy relaxed pet.

Using a combination of CBD oil or treats with other distractions can help your pets stay calm and comfortable during otherwise terrifying times.

Be sure to talk with your vet about added CBD to your dogs life and chose a product that is limited ingredients and 3rd party tested.

Hello Melissa, I have a kitty that is ridden with anxiety she is terrified all the time of everything. I love her dearly and don’t want to get rid of her but she’s peeing on everything and lashes out whenever she’s scared (which is often) she’s a sweet kitty and she’s very cuddly and not “dangerous” she’s just scared. I have no clue what dose to give her or if CBD can help fix some of our issues… I’m struggling hard with her!! Please guide me to getting her what she needs, thanks in advance
BTW I’m dee-dees daughter, hope you’re doing well we miss seeing the pups

Hi! Poor you and poor kitty! We have kitty treats and oil, the oil will be the most cost effective and you’ll be able to dial in exactly how much she needs. I would suggest trying the Roxy/Hemplucid drops in 100mg and give 1/4-1/2 dropper full.

Questions? We love them! Fire away!
