CBD Oil vs Hemp Seed Oil

CBD oil and hemp seed oil- how they are the different and their benefits.

What is Hemp Seed Oil?

Hemp seed oil is made from pressing hemp seeds. This produces a cold pressed unrefined oil with a nutty taste and a beautiful green color.

Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil

Cold pressed, unrefined hemp seed oil is high in omega fatty acids and proteins. It is also a great source of vitamin E and minerals including magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, potassium, sodium and phosphorus. Hemp seed oil has a lovely nutty smell, beautiful deep green color and absorbs well into the skin making is great in the kitchen or as a based for beauty products. Unrefined oils, like cold pressed hemp seed oil, are very sensitive and will rapidly degrade with excessive light exposure and even small temperature fluctuations. Storing your oil in the refrigerator is highly recommended for longevity.

Hemp seed oil is used in many CBD tinctures and contains zero CBD. Tinctures using only hemp seed oil should be stored carefully as they are still very sensitive to light and temperature. If your tincture smells and / or tastes rancid do not continue to take it.

What is CBD Oil?

CBD oil is extracted from the entire plant; stalk, leaves, and flower. After the oil has been extracted it can be diluted by a carrier oil to make tinctures, processed into a powdered isolate, or made into other products for use.
