Broad spectrum CBD is made through a process called fractional distillation, which involves separating the various compounds found in the hemp plant through the use of heat and pressure. This process results in a product that contains a range of cannabinoids and other beneficial compounds found in hemp. These cannabinoids including CBD, but with very little or no THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive compound found in marijuana. The resulting product is a CBD oil that offers many of the same potential benefits as full spectrum CBD, but without the risk of psychoactive effects or the possibility of failing a drug test due to THC contamination.
